Bolt prides itself on being transparent and clear with its customers, offering communication via your preferred channels! Customers are able to customize their notifications by visiting the Bolt Customer Portal. Note: certain notifications are considered essential, and can not be turned off. However, you are able to decide how you receive them.
How to manage your notifications
- 1Log in to the Bolt Customer Portal
- 2Go to ‘Settings’
- 3Click on 'Notification Preferences'
- 4Anything listed in ‘Essential Notifications’: select SMS or Email as your preferred channel
- 5Anything listed in ‘Optional Notifications’: unclick the box if you would prefer not to receive these communications
- 6Click ‘Save Preferences’
What is an Essential Notification?
Essential notifications are anything that contains important information about your service, billing, or account security. These can not be turned off while your account is active.
- Billing & Payments: new invoices, failed transactions, updated payment alert, etc.
- Security and account changes: updated password, updated contact info, etc.
- Outages and essential services: alerts of network or system outages
- Planned maintenance: alerts of upcoming system maintenance that may impact your Bolt internet service
What is an Optional Notification?
Optional notifications are not essential to the day-to-day management of your account, but are highly recommended!
- Marketing communications: offers and news from Bolt
- Support-ticket updates: receive alerts when there has been an update to any in-progress tickets
