How to set up your router

In this article you will learn: how to connect your router and get your devices online.

Setting up your Bolt router takes only a few minutes. Place it in an open, central location for the strongest Wi-Fi connection throughout your home.

Steps

   Connect the Ethernet cable from your Bolt wall outlet or fibre equipment to the Internet/WAN port on your router.

   Plug the router into a power outlet and turn it on.

   Wait a few minutes for the router to start up and connect.

   On your phone, computer or other device, open the Wi-Fi settings.
5. 5
   Select the Wi-Fi network shown on the router label and enter the listed password.

   Open a website to confirm that you’re connected.

If you are replacing your Bolt router or want to use your own router, contact Bolt Support before disconnecting the existing equipment. We may need to update the equipment associated with your service before the new router can connect.
