Bolt is a third party internet service provider (ISP) designed to bring you the internet in a better way. We invest in the backend (infrastructure, hardware, and customer support) so that you can have the premium internet experience you deserve at a clear price.
A brief history
- The CRTC (Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission) requires the main TelCo’s to share their infrastructure
- As such, third party ISPs (like us!) can come into the market and help encourage competition and fair pricing
The opportunity
- We saw two opportunities to be better: infrastructure (premium fibre for more dependable, faster speed) and customer service (if you need to talk to us, we are accessible and helpful)
- We believe in earning (and keeping) our customers based on merit, not contracts. We also have some unique features, like throttling your internet speed based on need (turning it off during vacations, or temporarily increasing it for gaming)
Where is Bolt available?
- As of 2026, Bolt is available in certain MDU (multi-dwelling unit) buildings in Western Canada. You can see if your building is one of them by checking here
