Why won’t my device connect to Wi-Fi?

In this article you will learn: how to troubleshoot a phone, computer, TV or other device that cannot connect to your Bolt Wi-Fi.

If other devices are connected normally, the issue is likely limited to the affected device or its saved Wi-Fi settings.

Steps
  1. 1
Check whether another device can connect to your Wi-Fi.
  2. 2
Confirm that you selected the correct network name.
  3. 3
Re-enter the Wi-Fi password carefully. Passwords are case-sensitive.
  4. 4
Select the network in your device settings and choose Forget This Network.
  5. 5
Select the network again and re-enter the password.
  6. 6
Turn Wi-Fi off and back on.
  7. 7
    Restart the device.
  8. 8
Move closer to the router and try connecting again.
  9. 9
Check whether the device has any available software updates.

If no devices can connect, restart your router and check the Status section of the Bolt Customer Portal. If only one device is affected after completing these steps, consult the device manufacturer or contact Bolt Support.
